Solar power plant |
|
Three independent schools on one campus operate a small solar power plant with an output of 2.1 kWp. Therefor we use 18 sqm of solar panels manufactured in Germany. The DC power is converted to 230V AC with two string inverters (without transformers and at a high efficiency rate). You can get some useful technical information from the page "Prinzipschaltbild". Our data system produces new graphics every three minutes about actual temperatures (air and solar panels), electrical power and electrical energy... less than 1% of our load. So you can imagine that producing electricity is the smaller task - more important is the educational part: our students will learn that renewable energy is possible. And our students have the chance to find out a lot of details by handling our mini solar power plant combined with a 6V DC rechargeable battery and a 70W converter to supply small 230V AC loads. Do you have any questions? Don't hesitate - send us a mail. |
